Transition

This is our “Browders head to Seattle” blog.  Anyone who is interested in reading about our move can check in with us here.

Chris left June 28th for Seattle and is living with an x-co-worker, going to work and hopefully finding us a new home.

The first week the kids and I were at home in Cleveland.  Thanks to the wondersleeping baby Harry, we mananged ok.  The girls actually learned how to ride 2 wheeled bikes, no training wheels

Then, the second week my dad and the kids and I drove 5 1/2hrs. to Harrisburg to visit my grandmother.  Within the first hour of driving Elyse got car sick 3 times and we had to stop.  The traffic was really bad (being the last day of 4th of July weekend) and we could barely find a parking place at the rest stops. The trip takes us 7 hours.  We picked up Grandma and drove to dinner.  I exited the car only to discover a huge poop stain on my white shirt.  I had to hike my shorts up OVER my belly button to hide it.  Nice.  Well, at least we’ll have a great day of swimming in the heated pool in the morning right?  NOPE.  The next morning it was pouring rain and Elyse puked in the restroom while the toilet in the stall next to us overflowed.  Maybe there was more to yesterdays stops than just carsickness since both the girls have diarreah now.

Day 2 was sunny so we head out to the pool only to find a dead bird floating in the pool.  That gets fished out and we actually have a wonderful time swimming in the heated pool.  Harry the wonderbaby slept until 7 am god love him so we are managing ok.  WE have some really nice meals (even though the girls aren’t very hungry) but…the end of the day I seem to have the same bug the girls have and barely can dash out of the car fast enough to get to the restroom after dinner.  This should make the 8 hour drive to Dayton really fun the next day!

Day 3 We drive from Harrisburg to my parents and luckily the kids are WONDERFUL and I don’t have to make 300 stops to go to the bathroom.

So now we are in Dayton, and so far the only crisis is that Nini’s apartment neighbor is back to her old trick of YELLING at her in the middle of the night (she’s a little off her rocker).

Emily – I’m so glad you’ve started this blog!! It will keep us all updated on the Browder Bunch since you’ve (sniff) left us all behind here in Cleveland. I can’t even drive by your house because it makes me too sad. Sophia wanted to go to Linden the other day and she said, “Why don’t we call El… oh yeah – never mind.” I’m sorry you guys have been sick. I hope you get better soon!! I also hope you get that awesome looking house Chris posted!
